199-Oil Mist Lubrication with Heinz Bloch

199-Oil Mist Lubrication with Heinz Bloch

Oil Mist Lubrication with Heinz Bloch

Lubrication is one of the most important aspects in asset management and having a sophisticated tool for this purpose makes a real difference to facilitate an organization’s lubrication program. This is where oil mist lubrication helps to achieve your lubrication goals. Its mechanism is based on creating a slightly pressured area that prevents moisture and other contaminants to enter into the bearing itself which also preserves the integrity of any vulnerable components as well as your lubricant. That’s how oil mist lubrication differs greatly from the traditional lubrication as it effectively keeps your lubricant pure from contaminants in the air outside.

The points addressed in this podcast highlight:

  • Why is lubrication one of the most important aspects in asset management?
  • What are the benefits of this method?
  • What are the issues associated with lubrication?

Lubrication with Sanya Mathura

In mechanical fields like automotive, oil and gas, power generation and aviation industries, lubricants play a  critical role in maintaining equipment reliability. They consist of both oils and grease.

In this episode, Sanya Mathura of Sustainable Reliability Solutions shares her thoughts on why and how organizations can foster an active approach to lubrication.

The episode highlights are:

  • Why organisations should be concerned about lubrication
  • How to identify degradations in lubricants
  • Common types of lubricant degradation
  • The impact of failing lubricants
  • Best practice for storage and testing lubricants

What is Oil Analysis with Robert Kalwarowsky

Lubrication is an important part of asset management and oil analysis plays a major role in keeping the lubrication system of your machines well. There are a number of factors that need to be taken into account while checking the lubricant for impurities and high viscosity etc. That’s why it is important to check the oiling process of the gearboxes and other machine parts that would fail if the condition of the lubricant is not up to the standards. There are a lot of precautions and different tests to make sure that the machines run smoothly.

In this episode, we covered:

  • Why is oil analysis important?
  • Why it’s important to have leaders!
  • Where do you start?
  • And much more!

World Class Lubrication with Robert Kalwarowsky

In a previous episode with our guest speaker Heinz Bloch, we covered how certain organizations were able to achieve best-in-class reliability programs. In this podcast episode, we’ll dig into what makes for a world-class lubrication program. Truth be told, only a very few organizations achieved and are implementing world-class lubrication programs. Obviously, there are certain best practices that they do that others don’t.

Ultrasound-Assisted Lubrication with Adrian Messer

Proper lubrication is one of the most important things to consider to keep the equipment up and running. When the equipment is over-lubricated or under-lubricated, it can lead to premature failures and increased maintenance costs. So how do we know how much lubrication a machine or a parts needs? What tools can be used for a precise amount of lubrication?

71 – Issues with Lubrication Programs with David Pedden

Issues with Lubrication Programs with David Pedden

It is not possible to keep your equipment operating at efficiency and for high productivity if you are not lubricating the machines properly. That is why it is so vital to use the right lubricant to avoid any breakdowns or other failures in your systems. You have to always keep an eye for the contamination because it alone can cause severe damage. When you apply the lubricants poorly, there are a hundred things that go wrong with the handling of the machines and in a result causes problems for your storage strategy.
