Debasmita Mukherjee studied at the San Jose State University and Jadavpur University, India receiving Master’s in Chemical Engineering.
She has been working in the capacity of Reliability Engineer in companies like Rivian and Bloom Energy looking at field reliability data and developing tools and techniques to analyze reliability data at scale.
Debasmita has used statistical tools and techniques to analyze field data and explore and identify issues as well as drive root cause investigation. Using automation, she led reliability data analysis at scale to show performance trends over time graphically.
She has analyzed product data using Weibull analysis and predict life and developed reliability databases to characterize product performance.
With this article series, Debasmita aims to offer the reader on how to use different data exploration and root cause analysis techniques to drive reliability improvement.
Field Reliability Data Analysis
Debasmita is the author of the article series Field Reliability Data Analysis.
In this article series, we will review stories and examples to highlight the importance of product field data and how it can be used to drive business decisions. We will learn the benefits and when to use different analyses to detect issues using data exploration tools such as histograms, box plots, life distribution, and Weibull analysis. We will also cover statistical techniques for root cause investigation, such as Regression Analysis and Decision Tree. Fundamentals of reliability modeling techniques such as Reliability Block Diagrams, Fault Tree Analysis, and Monte Carlo Analysis will also be covered.
