We want to be more innovative – but how?
Many companies talk about their desire for Innovation. Can Design of Experiments (DOE) help in that process? Each section below contains a 2-minute video to expand on the topic provided.
Too often, we manage on hope
How often do we hear a design or process development team express optimism – “We are almost there!” And how long does that same response continue without progress? The key is to decide when we have tried long enough using informal methods. Predictability and confidence are important to achieve project success.
Can we test and expect innovation?
Do you believe that innovation and breakthroughs come from some special expert? Or maybe, they are just lucky breaks that end up falling in our direction? Many companies believe innovation is a key for their future success. Done right, there is a way to be formal using techniques such as Design Of Experiments and yet allow for the flexibilities to accelerate the learning process.
If I am structured, how can that be creative?
Ok – so you accept that a structured methodology can create learning – but how could it enhance creativity? Admittedly, it does not make sense on the surface. However, on countless occasions, we have found amazing creative innovations come out of our DOE process. Ideas and principles that translate to the field!
