A planned study involving statistical analysis of a series tests in which purposeful changes are made to process factors, and the effects observed, in order to determine the relationship of process variables and improve the process.

  • Balanced incomplete block design
    In designed experiments, an incomplete block design with an equal number of k different levels from the factor of primary interest using l levels, arranged such that every pair of levels occurs in the same number of blocks.

    In designed experiments, an incomplete block design with an equal number of k different levels from the factor of primary interest using l levels is arranged so that not every pair of levels occurs in the same number of blocks.
  • Block design
    A designed experiment, which uses blocks.
  • Completely randomized design
    A designed experiment that doesn’t limit or restrict the randomization of the assigned experimental treatments to the experimental units.
  • Completely randomized factorial design
    In designed experiments, it is a factorial design (set of experiments including replicates) run in a completely randomized design.
