The temperature of an object on a scale where 0 is taken as absolute zero. Absolute temperature scales are Kelvin (degree units Celsius) and Rankine (degree units Fahrenheit).

A constant equal to 1.38 x 10^–23 joule per kelvin or 8.62 x 10^–5 electron-volt per kelvin. Abbreviated as k.
