Full-time team leader responsible for implementing process improvement projects—define, measure, analyze, improve, and control (DMAIC) or define, measure, analyze, design, and verify (DMADV)—within a business to drive up customer satisfaction and productivity levels.

A business process to actively approve, monitor, and control the implementation of alterations or modifications to an existing design, supply chain,  or manufacturing process.

Part of a control chart, line(s) used to judge the stability of a process. On a Shewhart chart, and others, these line(s) represent control limits, or action limits. Other than on acceptance control charts, the control limits are not specification limits. The lines are statistically determined boundaries for the expected deviations from the center line due to random causes alone.

The set of activities using statistical techniques to reduce variation, increase knowledge of the process, and direct the process in a desired manner. SPC is often associated with control charting and provides a means to identify and minimize unwanted process variation and maintain process stability.

All plans and actions taken to identify hazards; assess and mitigate associated risks; and track, control, accept, and document risks encountered in the design, development, test, acquisition, use, and disposal of systems, subsystems, equipment, and infrastructure.
