I loved your comments about the One Hoss Shay and the asset management concepts it contains. You recognized its 1858 publication as an early milestone in the concept of reliability…but…it is not the first!
I would love to discuss this further with any other historically-minded listeners.
Thank you for the nice literary and historical reference. Part of pride is heritage, and craftsmanship in maintenance has a longer history than you might think.
