One thing I neglected to mention in the podcast is that Lean or Agile Product Development is a culture change, and so participation in the change by senior management is essential.
Also, The Lean Product and Process Development Exchange (LPPDE) is a great source of information. Check their website. There is also a LPPDE group on Linkd In.

I recently listened to this podcast. I also visit universities in China every summer to lecture or work with professors and graduate students. I was at Beihang University in Beijing last summer sometime after John’s visit. If you happen to read this John, they were very impressed with your visit, and talked often about what they learned and how it was helping them.

David,
Thank you for sharing this feedback. That is gratifying to know, especially because I am not in academia. As an experienced reliability engineer in industry, the goal was to share practical methods in product development. I am glad to hear they found it helpful.
