Why Accendo Reliability
podcast episode with speaker Fred Schenkelberg
I recently received a question about the artwork found at Accendo Reliability. “Why castles?” So, I provided an answer and thought I would share it in this webinar. Also, let’s talk about how and why Accendo Reliability got started and how it’s been doing over the past ten years.
The basic idea of Accendo Reliability is to provide you with many options for your professional development. Plus, it provides a platform for those willing to share their knowledge, a place to be found by you, and those seeking such practical, useful, and meaningful content.
Besides a quick overview of the site and all that it offers, we will examine a few different metrics that show the growth and impact of the site. Plus, we will discuss the site’s various short- and long-term plans.
This Accendo Reliability webinar was originally broadcast on 12 December 2023.

I like your pictures, and I also like the oboe lick (Danzi Op. 56 #1 last movement?) that introduces podcasts. Was the piece that ended your podcast also Danzi? It sounds familiar. Danzi put nice oboe melodies in last movements of his wind quintets.
I agree with your motivation for Accendo Reliability and want to support your plans to provide more services.
Offer free field nonparametric reliability and failure rate function estimates, from ships and returns counts, data required by GAAP. Reliability people might have to work to dig ships (installed base by age, cohorts, etc.) and returns counts out of product revenue or production and bills of materials, and dig returns or failure counts out of complaints, warranty, or other service costs, even spares sales. The methods are already published on http://www.accendoreliability.com.

Thanks for the thoughts and suggestion Larry. We’ll have to talk offline to sort out how best to offer your analysis services. cheers, Fred
