Helping Products Survive Transportation
podcast episode with speaker Fred Schenkelberg
Besides building your product inside your customer’s facility, your product will require some form of transportation to move from your factory to your customer. When your product doesn’t work ‘out of the box’, that is considered ‘not good’ for customer satisfaction.
Some may consider these failures ‘quality failures’ or ‘packaging failures.’ Your customer doesn’t care what you classify the failure as. It’s a failure. It costs you money, thus it’s a problem.
So, how do you help your product survive transport? Let’s consider a few factors that must be considered, plus a few tips to improve both your product and packaging designs for reliability.
